Work with an experienced peacemaker to save time, money, and longterm peace of mind.

Peacemaking for any kind of conflict.

A productive peacemaking process helps people move forward, regardless of the external circumstance. Companies, spiritual communities, schools, and neighbors all benefit from thoughtfully engaging in a peacemaking process when conflicts (inevitably) occur.

mediation is a practical alternative to litigation

Mediation helps people resolve conflict privately and confidentially, without going to court.

Peace is possible.

At Chicago Peace Practice, we practice facilitative and transformative mediation. We guide a productive process so that all people feel safe to share their experience in a confidential space and gain support and tools to navigate a self-determined path forward.

The Role of the Mediator:

neutral support of all parties

We all get activated, behave badly, have flaws. We try our best with what we have at any given time. Our mediators have trained extensively to offer calm, neutral support in heated rooms.

A mediation process helps people better understand both themselves and each other. Our sessions reveal new information, reality-test proposals, resolve unaddressed triggers and create the space to explore new possibilities. Through the process, people often create agreements and new futures that turn out better than they could have imagined (when in the thick of the storm).

a peaceful process protects the people, animals, and assets you care about most.

  • A hand holding out, with a dollar sign ($) above it, indicating financial transaction or payment.

    Save Time & Money

In Illinois state, the average cost of divorce without children is $13,800, exceeding $25,000 when children, property, or complex finances are involved. Most of that cost comes from attorneys fees.

Business litigation has no average. Peacemaking always costs less than war.

    Protect What You Cherish

The most important thing that you can do for yourself and your children is reduce conflict.

Long-term studies are clear. Mediation significantly reduces court involvement, improves communication, and is linked to better outcomes for children up to 12 years after their parents’ divorce.

Clients determine the process and pace, taking responsibility for the decisions that will affect their lives moving forward.
